Some of you may know me and my account from many moons ago when I was a student writing poorly about beauty and fashion.. Well here I am, ready to write once again.
For anyone who does not know me; hello! I am Lora, a 24 year old newly wed from the East Midlands who loves nothing more than a flavoured coffee and a bright lipstick. I also have a small obsession with our dog Malcolm.. more commonly referred to as #malcthedog.
So, where have I been? Well, since I last blogged (approx Jan 2015 – on a blog that has long since dropped off the internet..), I bought a house alongside Christopher – my long suffering better half – got a dog, started a YouTube channel, got a couple of new jobs then promotions and most recently (15 days ago actually…) I married my best friend.
I started my beauty blog as an outlet for myself whilst I was in second year at University; I had incredible housemates, great family and a beautiful university home but I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. I wasn’t enjoying my course anymore and wanted somewhere I could go to get away from countless lectures about advanced statistics and sciences that I simply couldn’t get my head around. It wasn’t long before my personal twitter was relegated to the bottom of the pile whilst my blog twitter became my favourite place to visit; I made friends, went to events and just enjoyed the blogger community.
For a while, I fell out of love with blogging, I still read blogs and enjoyed joining in with bloggers chats on twitter, but I stopped writing myself. I couldn’t help but compare myself to the other girls blogs I was reading… their writing was so fluid and funny, they could describe products in ways I couldn’t. For this reason I started a YouTube channel at the beginning of 2016. I was beginning to plan our wedding and knew that no one could vlog my life like I could, and therefore it was time to stop moping and get back into it. I have loved vlogging and will continue to do so, but I’ve got my writing mojo back. I’m ready to fall back into love.
Whilst my love for beauty is very much still there, I want to branch out and talk lifestyle, talk home interiors and design, talk books and baking. I cannot wait to see where my #wifelife takes me.
