When I wrote my old blog, I was always raving about the Healthy Mix Foundation and since seeing that they had reformulated it, I rushed to Boots to try it again. I picked it up in the shade 51Light Vanilla.
I love the new packaging, it looks really sleek in its new square packaging, and love how they have spruced up the concealer packaging too. It has retained its fruity scent which I actually really like and blends seamlessly into a medium coverage. I find this last well throughout the day if I powder in the morning and the concealer provides a slightly higher coverage which is perfect for under my eyes. This foundation doesn’t cling to any dry patches, nor does it emphasise my enlarged pores. The concealer lasts all day without creasing and the shade 51 is really brightening, covering my dark circles way. I apply this with either my real techniques buffing brush or my beauty blender and both methods ensure the coverage looks flawless. I’d say this foundation sits between a dewy and a satin finish – it isn’t entirely satin as there is still a glow!
One major downside to this foundation, and all Bourjois foundations in fact in that they do not cater for darker skintones. I know so many people who love to try this foundation and would probably love it but the lack of shades really does limit their choices. This foundation retails for £9.99 – you can find it instore or online at both Boots and Superdrug.
