I have really been trying to take care of my skin recently and I think it is paying off! With the weather improving I’m swapping out some of my products for some treats and thought I’d share them with you. Last summer I picked up the Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado and it is glorious – when I thought I had lost it at my besties hen party there was very neary tears! This was my first higher end piece of skincare and it definitely ignited my interest.
Over the winter months my skin has been really dry and sore, so I invested in the Kiehls Ultra Facial Balm but I’m finding it too heavy for my skin now so I’ve swapped this out for the Frezyderm 24hr moisturiser* which I was kindly sent. I have been pairing this with my Frezyderm Revitalising serum*. I’ve only been using these for around six weeks but so far so good. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review in a couple of months time. They have both been offering a light texture but full hydration which is helping to leave my skin gorgeous, glowing and plump.
The Ordinary skincare has been blowing up the internet and I had to get myself in on the action. I picked up the Vitamin C Suspension and have been including this in my skincare routine for the last couple of weeks. This paired with the Frezyderm serum has been making my skin look radiant. I am eagerly anticipating the release of their foundations too! I can’t get over how affordable all their products and I have a haul upcoming so keep your eyes peeled for that. The only downside I have found with this is that when combined with my moisturiser, it smells like fake tan? I have no idea why but it is definitely not putting me off using them.
For a physical exfoliator I’ve gone back to an old favourite, the Una Brennan Vitamin C scrub which is glorious. I love the citrusy scent, it really wakes me up of a morning. It has got the right about of ‘scrub’ in it which buffs away dead skin cells without leaving my skin irritated. For my dry lips (this is an ongoing issues and has been for years!) I’m back using the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream which really is a gem. I have been using this since I was a child and whilst the smell is a bit funky, there really is nothing like it for soothing and calming chapped lips. It is also great for slathering on sunburn too!
Overall I’m opting for a lighter skincare regime ready for the summer months to keep my skin light glowing and radiant. Do you swap up your skincare in the spring? Have you got any recommendations for me?
