I love makeup, and I especially LOVE makeup gift sets. Nothing fills me more with joy than the cracking little gift sets you can get over the Christmas period. My family normally steer quite clear of buying me these however as they know I have a rather extensive collection and they’re always worried about buying something I already have so I tend to treat myself on boxing day – 50% off all Boots giftsets and really discounted offers on sites such as Space NK? yes please! This year I’ve had a quick look and I’ve already book marked the above sets to get ordering as soon as they go on sale!

I’m cheating slightly with the Smashbox Create & Transform Masterclass Palette as I picked this up at the beginning of December when it was on 50% off at Boots for their Star gift. This set is made up of four palettes where they state you can make up to 78+ different combinations – eyes, lips and cheeks. This instantly had me hooked and having tried their formulations in the past, I know it is going to be a complete gem of a palette! At the time of typing up this post I haven’t got round to trying out the palette as I need to photograph it first (winter blogger problems!) but I’m planning on a first impression tutorial on my channel!
I recently had my makeup done at Smashbox and they used the next two gift sets on me during it. The Smashbox Drawn In. Decked Out. Sculpting Cheek Palette is a right bargain of a palette  – this retails at the moment for £30 but will soon drop to a bargain £15 in the sales!! This is a really good sized palette which decent sized pans. The formula of their powder products really is incredible so this is one I really hope I can snap up!
The Smashbox Drawn In, Decked Out Shadow + Highlight palette set is also an absolute steal as it contains two full size cover shot eyeshadow palettes which normally retail for £24 each, and the whole set is only £39 full price. I’ve wanted to try these shadow palettes (Ablaze is part of their permanent line whereas Sultry is an exclusive).
The Stila Written in The Stars set has been a nightmare to get your hands on before Christmas so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to snag one in the sales (I’ve got a full size of one of the colours available and it really is stunning!). These are such incredible products that I’m not surprised they’re so difficult to get hold of. I’ve loved mine for Christmas parties and this little set would easily take you into the New Year with a bang.

I’m loving the surge in tree ornaments you are able to buy this year. Clarins have got some really reasonably priced ones which contain two items for £10! I really hope I can snag a couple of the different ones they have (I love the instant light natural lip perfectors!). They also have a few gift bags which retail from £20 which contain some great deluxe sample sizes. Clarins is a brand I really want to explore more and I think this might be the best way to do it!

Aromatherapy Associates is a brand I’ve always admired from afar. I don’t normally invest a great deal in shower or bath products (I share shower stuff with Chris and he is very liberal with everything he uses!) so I’ve never really purchased from them before. The Treasured Time set retails for £20 so I’d really like to be able to grab a bargain with this in the sales! I’ve heard you only need the tiniest of drops in your bath for these to be super effective so I can imagine these lasting me months!

Where is your favourite place to shop the sales? Do you brave the shops?

Leave a comment below if you know of anywhere doing some cracking discounts!

I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating with your family over the next few days.

Happy Christmas!
