I love reading empties posts, but don’t love writing them as they always end up being absolute monsters of posts. My bestie Rach from HelplessWhilstDrying recently had a mini meltdown with regards to her empties posts (some of the best and most informational empties out there!!) and she has decided to do her in increments of 10 empties, something of which I think I’m going to try myself to save me literally battling it out every couple of months; I thought I’d write up this month then every 10 going forward!
Herbal Essence Bio Renew Shampoo and Conditioner; these were actually beautiful. I picked them up when they were on offer and not only do they smell insane, they made my dry and dull damaged hair really smooth and silky, without weighing it down. Repurchase? YES!
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle: This is one of the best deep conditioning treatments on the market in my opinion, I love it. Again, it smooths my unruly mane without weighing it down with product. The only thing I’m not wild about is the packaging – I’m never too sure if when it is about to run out (Chris also uses this on his beard with means we get through it a lot!) Repurchase? Already have a back up!
Nutrafix Jojoba Oil and Almond Oil Shampoo and Conditioners: let me start by saying I picked this up by accident in a discount shop, thinking they were OGX (wishful thinking I know!) and when I got them home and realised they weren’t I stuck them in the cupboard to use regardless. My opinion on these? These are horrible. They make your hair so greasy, so lank an the beautiful scent doesn’t linger at all. The packaging is fiddly and the caps don’t shut very well. Repurchase? Absolutely not.
Bleach London Silver Shampoo and Conditioner: When I was completely blonde I used to use these all the time, but now my ombre is darker than it was , I no longer have any use for these. They really do tone your hair well, removing brassy tones with ease. You can get a purple / silver tint to your hair if you leave them on long enough but this never happened to me. The scent lasts in your hair forever, and they really are great products. Now Bleach have expanded into makeup, I’d love to see them extend their haircare range too! Repurchase? If I go blonder, 100%!
Batiste Dry /shampoo in ‘Party’: Would it be an empties without a bottle of this? It is the best option I’ve found for actually making your hair look clean. I’m not too fussed about making my hair feel clean, as long as it doesn’t look greasy. This adds texture which is great for my gresy hair which usually just lies a bit lank. Repurchase? Of course.
Sanex Dermo Moisturising Body Wash: My parent used to use this all the time when I lived at home, and when I saw it on offer I decided to pick it up. Its very unadventurous, doesn’t smell of anything but leaves your skin feeling clean yet hydrated. Great for people with sensitive skin! Repurchase? Probably not, I like a bit more scent!
Avril Le Gommage Corporel*; I was kindly sent this by Avril at the end of last year and I finally finished it up. It was a gritty scrub but the scrub was encased in the worlds thickest liquid which instantly emulsified when used with water. No terrible but not one I’d repurchase. Also this smells like bananas. It is a very strange one, not for me! Repurchase? I don’t think so!
Treaclemoon Warm Cookie Dough: This smells so delicious, and really luxurious, especially for its really low price point. As you can see, the packaging leaves a bit to be desired and I rally struggle to get the last bit of product out. It is a thick texture which lathers nicely but the gloopyness makes it very difficult! Repurchase? Yes but maybe in a smaller bottle!
Mitchum Powder Fresh: This is the best deodorant ever. I don’t know why, but I just love this one so much! It smells kind of like baby powder, but banishes bad odours and stops me from being a sweaty betty. Repurchase? Always!
Avon Planet Spa Nail Spa Parafin Mask; I’ve been using this forever, and have only just finished it off. It has a really lovely shea scent, and I typically used this over night on my feet and hands. It hydrates the skin so nicely but I don’t even know if they do this range anymore (I have literally had it about 2 years!) Repurchase? Probably not again!
Flexitol Heel Balm; Lets be honest, feet are rank, and my feet are the rankest. I really struggle with dry skin all over my body to be honest so like to make the most of a thick moisturiser for my feet and heels. This is the best I’ve found! Repurchase? I’ve been using this for years so definitely.
