Project Pan 2018

I’ve done ‘project pan’ posts in the past but thought I’d start the year with a fresh start. As someone who has ALOT of makeup products, I flit between products like no mans business! For this reason, I’m going to focus on finishing off some of the older products in my collection.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: I’ve confessed my love for the CC cream many a time, and last time I placed an order I was given a sample size of this mascara. I’ve got a couple of newer full size mascaras which are on my radar so I’ve decided to pan this product. Almost cheating as it is so small, but I can’t wait to see it gone. I thought it would be fab – lots of my favourite bloggers love it, but it doesn’t offer the length and volume I demand from my mascaras.

YSL Serum Foundation: Can anyone remember this release blowing up the internet about two years ago? I snagged in Boots many moons ago and I’m still working through it. I used to love this but I have found it lacks longevity on my skin now. It smells fresh and is super lightweight which means it looks gorgeous natural and dewy, but it disappears within a bout four hours.

The Body Shop InstaBlur Primer: I have had this longer than I care to remember. Very reminiscent of the Benefit Porefessional, it is really high in silicone and helps blur pores. I don’t actually know how effective this is as I haven’t used it in ages. Time to get it gone!

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer: This is actually one of my favourite concealers of all time, but it genuinely takes me so long to finish a tube of this. I love the lightweight feel of this product, but it packs a punch with the coverage it offers. I’ve got about five other concealers waiting to be used so time to get this one gone!

Maybelline Lash Sensational: I love the matte packaging version of this product, but this shiny one (I have no ide what the difference actually is) has left my lashes looking thin and limp. Its definitely not a love product for me, so I want to use it up and get it gone. Admittedly this will be more for no makeup days due to its lack of oomph but I’m ready to power through.

MAC Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash: Again this is kind of a cheat product as it is only a mini but this little sample size has lasted me forever. This offers a fluttery lash which separates out and fans the lashes amazingly. I think this will be one I purchase a full size of.

Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer: This was in my last ‘shop my stash’ post, and I’m still working hard at finishing this off. I heard a rumour this product was being discontinued but I’m not sure how true that is. Buttery and soft, this bronzer has the perfect amount of warmth without looking muddy. The packaging is looking a bit owrse for wear as it is cardboard but I’m determined to finish it up.

MaxFactor Crème Blush: This is the most gorgeous product, encased in the world shittiest packaging. It is a really dinky size, but the product gives you a gorgrous dewy glow which last well on the skin. A firm favourite in my makeup drawer but I’ve had it a long time.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil: I picked up the ABH brow pencil when we were in America last year and I’ve still not used it as I’ve been trying to finish this off. It has a super skinny pencil which means you can draw in the perfect little brow hairs, but it literally lasts a lifetime!

I’m going to report back in two months time to let you know how I’m getting on, and if I’ve finished some products off (which I’m hoping to have done!) I’ll swap in some newer products to pan too.

Are you a make up hoarder who definitely needs to shop their stash?!

  1. That superhero mascara seems to be one which divides opinion so much! I’ve got it on my to try list one day to see whether it’s a love or not for me!
That YSL bottle has to be the most lovely looking for foundation! I do remember it’s popularity but I knew serum foundations for me would be a no go so stayed away. I still haven’t gotten around to trying their new all night one I bought in October!
I love Maybelline Age rewind, that last little bit I find really hard to use up – it’s like all the product has become extremely compressed and it takes three times as long to see progress and movement down the tube!
