2018 will see me declutter my collection like nothing else, I’m determined of it! I’m also going to try and shop my stash as best possible, so today I thought I’d talk you through 10 of my skincare empties, whether I loved, loathed and would repurchase!
Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover: I know so many people love this makeup remover but I’m just not one of them? It is the oiliest of oils I’ve ever tried, made my face slippery and my eyes sting. Repurchase? Never again!
Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner: Is toning even still a thing? This has long been past its sell by date and had been sat the cupboard for a lifetime. I can’t give an actual review because I’m not too sure if I’ve actually picked it up in 6+ months. Repurchase? Naaaah
Lush Sugar Plum Fairy Lip scrub: I have fallen out of love with lush a little bit recently. I feel like as I’ve discovered more gems, I’ve just pushed lush to the wayside and this scrub is one of those items that I’ve found better elsewhere? This is a product with some serious scrubbiness which works miracles on my dry flaky lips but the formula is so dry that I feel like it goes from perfect to too dry in not all that long? This has been replaced for me by the ELF exfoliator or the Fresh lip scrubs. Repurchase? Nope!
L’Oréal Pure Clay Glow Mask: When these launched I went crazy and bought all of them, going on to learn that I only actually really liked this one. Its bright orange and has a grittiness to it which I love. It leaves my skin feeling smoother, brighter and more radiant without feeling parched or angry. Repurchase? 100%
Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream: I’ve spoken about this about 100 times on this blog in the last year so won’t wang on too much but can only say this; this is a holy grail product, perfect for night, day and anything in between. Repurchase? Always
Kiehls Avocado Creamy Eye Treatment: Again this is a product I’ve spoken about a hundred times before. This is such a gorgeous creamy product which glides on under the eyes offering the ultimate levels of hydration. Repurchase? Yes!
Frezyderm Revitalizing Serum and 24hr Moisturiser: I did a full review on these which you can see here so won’t wang on! Repurchase? Maybe
First Aid Beauty Instant Oatmeal Mask: First aid beauty has been on my radar for a while now and I picked this little sample up at Sephora a while ago, only actually getting round to using it recently. It is a funny old consistency, almost akin to porridge with a very oaty scent. It left my skin soft and supple and the oats in the mask offered some light exfoliation which was nice. This was only a one use sachet so can’t say if it really made a difference or would do in the long run. It reminded me a bit of the Honey and Oat mask that The Body Shop used to do! Repurchase? No
7th Heaven Peel off Charcoal Mask: I was very kindly gifted a number of the 7th heaven masks when I went to the bloggers festival last year in London. You can’t beat a peel off mask and this one dried down nicely which meant you can pull it off in one satisfyingly big sheet, but if it actually did anything to my skin is another. Repurchase? No, there are others from the range I prefer.
There we go! Another 10 products down…! Let me know your top favourite skincare items!
