Last month Glamglow were doing a great offer online where if you ordered anything from their site, you got three deluxe samples and free shipping so you know I had to take the chance to try out a couple of new bits.
I asked my blogging besties for recommendations, and Molly highly recommended the GlowSetter setting spray. There was a little offer one for a miniature bottle (£12) and a free GlowStarter Illuminating Moisturiser – I popped them in my basket and went off to select my samples, snagging the ThirstyMud, SuperMud and the Volcasmic moisturiser.
I thought I’d share some mini reviews on the items I got – firstly, the Volcasmic Moisturiser is potentially the most glorious smelling product I’ve ever had. It smells like chocolate orange, and is a super smooth formula which glides on the skin, mattifying the skin whilst giving off the most insane glow. I love this product, and already have plans to make a full size purchase, even though it is £39 (!!). I love this product for under my makeup and have been using it daily.
SuperMud mask is probably the most famous of the masks from GlamGlow and you know what? I literally find it to be mediocre. It isn’t the best clay mask I’ve tried, it isn’t the worst. Would I buy a full tub at £42? No.
I had heard a lot about the ThirstyMud from another bestie (Rach from HelplessWhilstDrying) who said this mask was perfect for using overnight to amp up skins moisture. I can completely agree with her. I don’t think it works great as a 10 minute treatment as suggested (it makes little more difference than a moisturiser would) but if used overnight it plumps the skin to perfection! See Rach’s review here.
GlowStarter is potentially the most glowy moisturiser I’ve ever. It almost verges onto being too greasy for me. It doesn’t lay great under my foundation so for me it’s not one I’d be ready to repurchase!
Onto the star of the show… the Glowsetter Spray. Molly raves about this and her skin is always flawless so I couldn’t wait to pick it up. Do you know what? It is bloody wonderful. The finest mist in the whole world, it makes even the worst make up look beautiful. Glowing to the gods without an inch of grease? YES PLEASE. I have loved the All Nighter setting spray for years, but this has pipped the post of number one.
I’m so pleased I took the oppurtunity to expand my glamglow collection a bit as I’ve really found some gems.
Do you have any stand out products I need to try from Glamglow?
