BATH AND BODY EMPTIES

As a couple we seem to consume SO much shower gel etc, so the pile has been getting ever bigger in the empties bin and had to be tackled.. prepare for a big one!

KOYA BEACH BABE SUGAR SCRUB BATH AND BODY EMPTIES SOAP AND GLORY SUGAR CRUSH SCRUB-min

I don’t think I’ve spoken about my current love for a fake tan over on the blog (but did just film THIS video on a fake tan disaster I’ve had if you want to go and have a laugh) but I’ve been whipping through body scrubs like no mans business. Superdrug Cherry and Macadamia filled me full of promise as it smelt delicious and looked like cherry muller yoghurt with bits in it. Alas it had little to no scrubbing power and left me feeling moisturised but still scaly. Repurchase? No. (I’m sorry, I forgot to photograph this one!)

I was kindly gifted the Koya Beach scrub at an event and whilst this was the epitome of scrubby body scubs, the messy natural of natural scrub like this was too much for me to handle. A great scrub, smells incredible (very holiday-esque) but just not for me. Repurchase? Nope

Soap and Glory can do no wrong in my eyes and the Sugar Crush Body Scrub has been a firm favourite for years. The perfect combination of grit and oil, suspending in a really lovely zesty lime scent which scourers away my tiger bread type fake tan. Repurchase? YAAAAAS.

Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure shower gel was definitely on offer the week I got this in the supermarket as I would never usually have picked this up. The scent is okay and relatively sweet but nothing to write home about. The bottle is also deceptively small and I didn’t get a great of use out of it! Repurchase? Nope!

Another deceptively small product was the Imperal Leather Moroccan Spa shower gel. What was I thinking? It smells so strong and it is definitely not the ‘spa escape’ I was promised by the bottle. Repurchase? Nope! (Stick to their sweet flavoured offerings which are much nicer)

Superdrug snared me with a by the till dealio on this Imperial Leather Unicorn Marshmellow shower gel (love me a gimmick) and it was actually lovely! It felt super luxurious, smoothed onto the skin so nicely, and lasted a surprisingly long amount of time. I thought it might be a four pump and you’re done kind of affair but thoroughly enjoyed it. Not sure what was unicorn about it as it wasn’t pink inside or anything but a really nice sweet frangrance. Repurchase? Not at the full price (£2.50+) but definitely if it was on offer.

As I mentioned earlier in this post, S&G can do no wrong in my eyes. I bloody love their products and when I saw that they had a sister company who were doing shower gels, lotions and handwashes, you know I rushed to Tesco to pick them up.  We are currently loving the shea hand wash which we have in the bathroom but the Super Juicy Passionfruit shower gel was SUCH a disspoaintment. After a few uses the scent made me feel sick, the bottle is a really hard plastic which makes it hard to squeeze and the scent didn’t linger (which was a blessing in disguise in this case). Repurchase? I’ll be sticking to the hand wash…

RADOX SCENT TOUCH FEEL LIVELY FEEL POSITITVE BATH AND BODY EMPTIES REVIEW -min

Another one where I was swayed by an offer was the Radox 12hr Touch Scent Shower Gels in Feel Positive and Feel Lively. Feel lively is meant to be peony and lychee and maaaan that peony scent is strong. No thanks. Feel positive was better with honeydew melon and papaya, which was nice and fresh on the skin but the packaging truly lets these products down. After about three or four uses they become really hard to squeeze and it meant that I definitely didn’t get the most out of them. Yes the scent lingers, but theyre also not worth the dollar bills! Repurchase? Not unless repackaged.

LUSH SNOW FAIRY SANCTURY SALTED CARAMEL SOAP AND GLORY CLEAN ON ME BATH AND BODY EMPTIES-min

An empties wouldn’t be an empties without some minis so I’ve got a couple to share with you. Being x Sanctuary Spa Salted Caramel and Macadamia shower gel was dreaaaaaamy. It has a sweet nutty fragrance which remained on the skin, felt so much more luxouirous than its cost and will 100% be being repurchased. S&G are my queens so you know I loved the Clean on Me sbower gel. Repruchase? Maybe. I’d always opt for the sugar crush where possible but wouldn’t turn my nose up! Snow Fairy is something I repurchase year on year and I really worked hard to make this last so far into the year (my large bottle got finished v. early on it the year!). The super sweet scent is one of my absolute favourites. I’d be happy if they ditched the glitter, but if they could create a room fragrance or candle in this scent, I’d be the first in line. Repurchase? Every year!

There we go, another beasty blog post done and dusted. I’m looking forward to getting these all into the recycling bin and continuing on my decluttering mission.

  1. Oh wow, I’ve owned that bag of Koya Beach scrub before too. It’s good but I agree, so messy.
It’s so strange to see Palmolive body care since here in Canada, they only sell dish soap. I don’t think the brand could transition over to body care… it’s like if Tide started making body lotion. 😛
I had a small bottle of Lush Snow Fairy and I just couldn’t handle the glitter… the scent is almost tooth-achingly sweet. It’s a fun product though.
Do you guys have Bath & Body Works over there yet?
