Is there anything nicer than a house that feels genuinely festive? That just feels super cozy and full of good christmassy vibes? I love our house at christmas – the house itself needs a lot of love (we’ll get onto that more in the new year!) but it has always been a very homely home and I feel like that gets totally amped up at this time of year.
If you have read my blog before, or know my youtube channel (give it a sub!) then you’ll know I’m all about affordability. I love the idea of dropping serious dosh on Christmas decor but when you can get such beautiful peices on the high street, why would you! When Wilkos got in touch and asked me to share my Christmas table with you, I jumped at the opportunity to work with them. Wilkos is one my favourite shops on the high street for affordable homeware, beauty (hello Essence!) and all our dog related essentials (their poo bags are the best you can buy!) so myself and Chris regularly frequent there.
I opted for something super simple and chic this year using items that can be reused all year round. Everything came to less than £20 which I think is incredible!
The table runner is beautiful and compliments the light wood of the table, as well as our chocolate coloured walls perfectly. The gold charger plates are a steal at £1 and I think they give the overall table just a little bit of glam and work well with our white plates. What is Christmas without a christmassy napkin? All this along with some all important champagne flutes (50p each!) for that prosecco breakfast.
The stag details are actually Christmas decorations I spied on my way out the store – they look fab on the table and will look adorable on our tree next year too. These were a bargain at £1 each, but I think they have a much more expensive look about them. I love a tealight too, and thought this multi tonal one looked perfect as a centre piece – nothing too big to ensure ALL the food wil fit on the table.
I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the table settings this year. What have you done for your Christmas tables this year?
Wishing you the most wonderful of holiday seasons – I can’t wait to see what 2019 brings. Thank you for all your support this year on both my blog and the you tube channel!
